A lot of individuals and agencies talk about fandom, but when you dig a bit deeper, they’ve spent a few hours reading the top-line literature and think that’s all they need to do. And that’s because it’s a buzzword to them that makes a shiny deck but isn’t actually something they care about.
Fandom - and specifically celebrity fandom - is my universe.
I spent six years researching fandom and celebrity culture at University (and have continued that research since graduating), have spent numerous years working in fan-centered jobs, and have been a fan deep in fan spaces for over two decades. I know the nuances, the etiquette, the history, the reality.
I was the first person in the world to write a PhD on Taylor Swift, and am one of the only people who has studied fan-celebrity interactions and the commodification of celebrity fandoms as a specialisation.
I’m also one of the only people researching Formula 1 fandom as fandom, rather than a sponsorship or quantitative category.
Even though I’m no longer in academia, I spend hours each week conducting research and ensuring I’m on top of trends, developments, and the movements of fan culture.
If the name of an agency is the most important thing for you, go ahead and hire someone who has jumped on the trend. But if you want real depth and expertise, I’m here to help.
And if I’m not right for your project because of location/timing/specificity of expertise, I have a whole network of trusted fandom and celebrity pros who truly walk the walk that I can recommend.

I can try! I love to give back by helping students in the same way that I was helped by those in academia and industry while I was studying. However, sometimes my job and life get in the way. Send me an email explaining the kind of help you’re looking for and your deadlines and I’ll try to make it work for you.
